What is Sodium Chloride and what is it used for?
Treatment of isotonic or
hypotonic dehydration by loss of extracellular fluid.
Solvent or thinner for
electrolytes or compatible drugs.
Administration method:
0.9% sodium chloride is
given as an intravenous infusion.
The concentration and dose are established depending on the age, body weight, clinical condition of the patient and the need for fluids and electrolytes.
The recommended infusion rate is up to 7.7 ml / kg per hour (180 pic./min. And 70 kg). The average daily dose is 1000 ml / day and 70 kg weight.
The maximum daily dose is 40 ml / kg (respectively 2800 ml for a patient weighing 70 kg).
How to store Sodium Chloride
Do not use after the
expiry date which is stated on the pack. Store below 25 degrees Celsius in the
original package. Keep out of reach of children.
Composition: 100 ml infusion solution contains 0.9 g sodium chloride and excipients: water for injections.
